If your current fixed rate is coming to an end on your mortgage, we can look at fixing you back in with your current lender or remortgaging to a new lender. We can look into which option is best for you depending on your cicumstances and if you are wanting to do anything different such as move home, raise money, increase your mortgage term. Once you become a customer of ours, we will contact you when your fixed rate is up and take the stress away.
If you are just wanting to obtain a new fixed rate with your current lender, this is called a product transfer. Product transfers do not involve a full valuation of the property and there will be no affordability or income checks, no solicitors fees and if it is for your residential property, no charge from us to do this for you. Although product transfers can be quick, taking this option without checking whether there's a better rate elsewhere is not recommended. Remortgaging to a new lender will involve paying off your existing mortgage by taking out a new one with a different lender. The benefits of doing this means you have the facility to borrow more money, extend or reduce your mortgage term or change the repayment type, it also means you are not limited to your existing lenders mortgage products. As we are a whole of market mortgage broker we are not tied down to one lender, allowing us to look at the entire market to find the best deal for you. We do charge a fee for remortgages as this involves a lot more work however this fee is not payable until we apply to a lender. We will look into the fees involved for you to remortgage and weigh up the costs involved for you and if it is really worth you remortgaging or staying with your current lender.
